With emotional pains and sincere grief in our hearts, we as a family profoundly commiserate and condole all of you over the death of your dear mother and grandmother, Hon. Mrs. Carol Nwafor.
We consider it pertinent to recall that our cherished relationship with your respectable family dates back to 1992, shortly after the mass relocation of civil servants from Enugu to Awka; following the creation of the present Anambra State. The adumbration was at the Church of ST. Michaels and All Angles, Ifite-Awka, at the memorable occasion of the baptism of our first son, named Nnamdi, Tochukwu. Excitedly, she took the child from us immediately after the baptism and not only cuddled him but claimed him as her son for bearing the same names of her own biological sons. Deeply impressed by her graceful disposition towards our son, we subsequently chose her as the Godmother of our second son (Onyedika, Chukwuemeka).
Her relationship with Onyedika (now a Civil Engineer), was like mother and child as it was electric and worthily affectionate.
Certainly, your mother was priceless, pious, honourable, very industrious, highly reverent and carried on with exemplary dignity even as a widow. It is instructive that she once served as Councilor in the State’s Local Government System, hence the title “honourable”.
We fervently urge you all, to patiently bear her departure to a better abode, with fortitude and to take solace in the very visible reverent and commendable life she lived. God who is omniscient really blessed her family in her lifetime and we are sure, she is happily resting at the bosom of our omnipotent Lord.
Once more, accept our hearty condolences and may the good Lord grant you a very peaceful and successful burial/funeral ceremonies in Jesus name, Amen.
